Are you hospitable and do you like variety? At La Place Baarn you work in a nice, well-organized location. You are flexibly deployable (3-4 days per week, also during the week) from late June to November. You help guests and ensure a good atmosphere. Apply quickly!
Your workplace
You will work at La Place Baarn Nijhof, a cozy shop-in-shop location on the top floor of the home department store. This branch is a favorite break spot for shoppers, especially during weekends and holidays, with peak times around lunch. The La Place sandwiches, soups, salads, and smoothies are freshly prepared with pure ingredients. The location is easily accessible: an eight-minute walk from the Oude Amsterdamsestraatweg bus stop, and there is parking space for employees. You work in an informal and committed team, where new talent and experienced colleagues reinforce each other. At La Place Baarn Nijhof, quality, teamwork, and personal development are central. You are part of a nice working environment where colleagues are just as important as the guests.
Your role
As a catering employee at La Place Baarn, Nijhof, you are the face of the location. You prepare dishes and drinks and ensure everything looks neat. No day is the same: one day you make a salad or smoothie, the next day you help guests at the cash register or work in the dishwashing area. At La Place, you can try out different tasks, develop yourself, and contribute to the La Place experience that guests return for. As a catering employee, you:
- Prepare fresh dishes and drinks in the open kitchen;
- Enthusiastically tell guests about La Place products and ingredients;
- Alternate your tasks between the buffet, the cash register, and the dishwashing area;
- Ensure a clean, neat, and well-stocked workplace;
- Actively collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a hospitable atmosphere.
Your ingredients
We are looking for a catering employee who enjoys contact with people and working with fresh products. You have an eye for detail, are eager to learn, and enjoy learning something new:
- You have an interest in catering or foodservice and above all a lot of enthusiasm. Experience is not required; at La Place, we are happy to teach you everything about the trade;
- You speak and understand Dutch well;
- You work neatly and hygienically and remain calm and focused, even when it is busy;
- You know that catering can be physically demanding, but that does not deter you;
- You are flexibly deployable, also during evenings and weekends;
- You are eager to learn and open to new challenges.
Do the ingredients not completely match you? At Vermaat, we welcome everyone and embrace our differences. Do you, for whatever reason, experience a distance to work? Our Jobcoaches would love to get in touch with you via our Social Return page.
What we offer
- A salary matching your role and experience (Catering CLA) and a nice pension scheme;
- A time-for-time scheme: take the overtime you work as time off, or have it paid out;
- For a pleasant commute, we have a mileage allowance of €0.21 - €0.23 per km (10 to 40 km single journey);
- 25 vacation days (based on 38 hours) and the option to buy extra days;
- Discount on your health insurance via Zilveren Kruis or VGZ and fun discounts;
- For an average of €1.50 per working day, you can enjoy a healthy and delicious lunch;
- Payment every 4 weeks, meaning you get paid 13 times a year;
- A friend bonus: refer someone and receive a bonus of €250.
Working at La Place:
