After-School Childminder — Utrecht (1-Year Contract)

We are a family in Utrecht looking for a reliable, warm, and active person to care for our youngest child after school.

This is a formal one-year position, aligned with the school year, with a fixed salary and paid holidays. The role starts in September 2026.

Your responsibilities

• Picking up our child from school and supervising them in the afternoons
• Taking him to football practice and other activities, including sports, playdates, and appointments
• Ensuring a safe, fun, and structured afternoon routine
• Administrative tasks during quieter moments, with details discussed during the interview

What we are looking for

• Experience caring for children and a genuine enjoyment of it
• Reliability, punctuality, and good organisational skills
• An active and energetic approach, with the ability to keep up with a lively child
• Comfort getting around Utrecht by public transport and bicycle
• Good communication in Dutch and/or English; Spanish is a plus
• A non-smoker who can provide references and a VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct)

Practical details

• Schedule: Four afternoons per week from 14:30–18:00, plus one day from 12:15–18:00 (approximately 20 hours per week)
• Duration: One school year, from September 2026 to July 2027
• Salary: Fixed monthly salary, to be discussed, with holidays covered
• Start date: September 2026
